The work
The Foundation for Climate Restoration argues that cutting emissions and adapting to a warmer world will fall short without also removing the roughly one trillion tons of surplus carbon dioxide already in the air, and protecting Arctic ice. I led media relations for the nonprofit to put restoration on equal footing with mitigation and adaptation, as a third goal of climate policy.
I took its argument from policy circles to general readers, and presented restoration as achievable with technology that exists today. The foundation reached national and international news, from NBC News and Al Jazeera to El País, and consumer readers through Apartment Therapy and SheKnows.
